DUBS Foundation 3rd annual art show fundraiser
DUBS Foundation will be hosting our third annual art show fundraiser on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at Michael's Restaurant. We are raising money for student scholarships, teacher grants, and initiatives utilizing art to optimize healthy living. DUBS Foundation will also be a contributing sponsor for SNMA Birmingham’s Integrative Healthcare Summit on March 9th, 2024.
DUBS Foundation Excellence First Scholarship Application 2024
Eligibility: Must be a graduating high school senior with plans to attend an accredited 4-year or 2-year post-secondary institution as a full-time student (minimum of 12 hour course-load) in fall 2024. The application is open to all current residents of the state of Alabama. Application deadline is April 11th, 2024.

Being a teacher requires a lot of sacrifice and patience, so we think it’s important to express our gratitude to them when we can. DUBS was able to partner with Tarrant Elementary School to celebrate their teachers of the year.

Science Corner: Impact of obesity on day-night differences in cardiac metabolism
Lamario J Williams was an author on a publication that explored how high fat diet and obesity leads to adverse cardiac remodeling and altered metabolism of fats. However, time restricted feeding can help alleviate these issues in obese mice. The link to the article in Pubmed can be found below.

Lamario Williams, describes his experience working with A Promise to Help, founded by Dr. Sandra & Henry Ford. For nearly 2 decades, the Fords have been traveling to the Alabama Black Belt every month to provide free healthcare, counseling, and more to people in underserved communities.

Toy Drive & Medical Wholeness Support in the Black Belt
Donations will go to the A Promise to Help Initiative led by Dr. Sandra Ford. Equal Access Alabama is hosting the toy drive, and will be buying gifts for kids in Vredenburgh, AL on December 5th, 2020.
